Exo Flex VS Backpackers Van

With waves, comes crowds! Not just in the line up but in the carparks. On the last run of swell Noosa having some of the best sand it's had in years saw all of the points firing.

The waves where great, there was plenty of clean, rip-able waves with even a few barrels to be had. This swell wasn't huge just a nice steady pulse of head high to double over head surf that lasted about a week, had everyone frothing far and wide. 

We all know getting a carpark when the waves are good in Noosa is extremely hard & when you do finally get one you've struck gold. Well so you'd think... One of our clients had this happen though things didn't go to plan. While getting ready to surf he had put his board next to his car only to have the unthinkable happen. A van full of backpackers ran strait over it while reversing out of another carpark. Ran the board over from nose to tail. While our client did try and give chase to inform the backpackers who where totally oblivious to the trail of destruction they had just left unfortunately they where gone.

THE BOARD

We know are Exo Flex Technology surfboards are tough but to see the board with only compression damage & a fin box blown out was quite impressive. Rocker still in tact, no damage to the rails & only really needing a new fin box, the board is ready to hit the water again.... 

We are not condoning running over boards & hope this doesn't happen to any surfers, it was great still to see that not only does Exo Flex perform great in the water they go pretty good still verse a van ;-)
